Thu Duc General Hospital

Planning permit number 03/ planning permit date 19/01/2012 of Architecture Planning Department of Ho Chi Minh City.

Highlight in architectural landscape:

  • Open space in front of the main construction includes road space, squares, gardens, lakes landscape; the connection of building blocks in a landscape architectural ensemble.
  • The main spatial axes, which directions are North-South and East- West, create important lines, which are the basis for organizing spaces in landscape architecture of the hospital.
  • Welcoming lobby area from the main entrance connects the main building blocks together as an important highlight in the overall construction; this area was designed to have glass facade and to be roofed with modern BIPV roof tiles in order to highlight the beauty of the construction.
  • Important view point from Le Van Chi Street, through which open space, building blocks appear, from low (the podium) to high (tower blocks), which interwove with green spaces of green, carpet grass and waterfront.

Exploiting technical infrastructure system:

  • Planned area has relatively high ground, which is completely unaffected by tidal of river and canal. Therefore, it only need to be leveled and completed covered surface when start building specific constructions. The height and slope direct water to the main north-east stream of the project.

The construction’s function: Its function is to build a new construction make existing hospital become a contemporary hospital with 1.000 beds. It was also made to meet the need for medical treatment of both outpatient and inpatient in Thu Duc and nearby areas. This is also a place for medical students and trainers to practice and research.

Hiep Tri commercial and supermarket center:

Planning permit number 18/ planning permit, given by Architecture Planning Department on 14/05/2012

Highlight: Convert function from manufactory into commercial and supermarket center; help create business strategy which is suitable for reality; create profits for investors.

Construction’s function: Build new construction on the basis of converting the shoes factory into the biggest commercial and supermarket center in the region in order to meet the need for retail buying of clients in the region and nearby areas.
